Transparency Somalia Initiative Holds Anti-Corruption Awareness Training in Mogadishu

Mogadishu, January 29, 2025 – Transparency Somalia Initiative (TSI) successfully conducted an Anti-Corruption Awareness Training today at the prestigious Hayat Hotel in Mogadishu. The training brought together 25 participants from diverse sectors of Somali civil society, including lawyers, women’s groups, and research centers, to strengthen their understanding of anti-corruption principles and practices.

The one-day training focused on equipping participants with the knowledge and tools needed to combat corruption effectively. Topics included understanding corruption, its impact on society, and strategies for promoting transparency and accountability in both public and private sectors. The session also emphasized the role of civil society in driving anti-corruption efforts and fostering good governance in Somalia.

At the end of the training, certificates were distributed to all participants in recognition of their commitment to advancing anti-corruption initiatives in Somalia. The event was marked by lively discussions, interactive sessions, and a shared determination to contribute to a more transparent and accountable society.
